Notification for AFCAT 01/2016 has bee circularized by Indian Air Force (IAF) the exam organizer. Complete schedule regarding test commencement process has been made clear in the advertisement. Annually, Air Force Common Admission Test is organized for Commissioned Officer recruitment in Flying, Technical and Ground Duty Branches.
Online application process is ongoing for this test and will last up to 31st December, 2015. Exam date for AFCAT 2016 is Feb 21, 2016. Online application same as previous years are applicable through official website www.careerairforce.nic.in. Interested candidates should undergo the complete eligibility details before applying the form.

Eligibility Conditions for IAF AFCAT 01/ 2016
Educational Criteria: Educational qualification for each branch & included posts are different. Kindly go through the official notification to see the each detail of required qualifications. Physical standards such as required weight & height are also mentioned in the advertisement PDF.
Age Condition: Age of eligible applicant must be between 20 to 24 years for Flying Branch while 20 to 26 years in case of Technical Branch & Ground Duty Branch. Age to be counted as on 01-01-2017.
Selection Method: For the course to commence in year 2017, candidates to be selected on the basis of Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) in case of GD & flying branch. Candidates who applied under technical branch need to clear the AFCAT test. Further Medical examination, Psychological Test, Group Discussion, Ability test and Interview are conducted for final selection.
After the competitive test step, further process will be conducted in three stages at Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) at Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar, Varanasi or Kancharapara.
