Central Board of Secondary Education same as July month is also going to conduct January 2017 National Eligibility Test on the behalf of UGC. After the recommendations, since 2014, CBSE started conducting NET instead of its regular organizer University Grant Commission (UGC). Now CBSE NET Admit Card for Jan 2017 examination will be issued online for all the eligible examinees.
As the exam is taken twice a year, National Eligibility Test will be conducted for this year on 22 January 2017 at the national level. From the fourth week of this month, Admit Card for UGC NET will be uploaded on the official website and can be downloaded till the exam is conducted. The Central Board of Secondary Education conducts the National Eligibility Test on the behalf of University Grants Commission. There are more than 90 subjects you can enroll for using this test.
The score of this national level exam is used for the recruitment of assistant professor and junior research fellowship in Indian UG, PG institutions.
The Exam will commence on January 22, 2017, on Sunday. There will be 3 sessions. Each session consists of different paper. Paper I will be having 60 questions out of which 50 are to be done and 10 are optional.
The Paper I have 100 marks and duration is 1¼ Hours (09:30 A.M. to 10:45 A.M.). The Second paper carries the same number of marks but 50 compulsory questions are asked i.e there is no choice in questions.
Same duration (70 minutes) as of paper I applies with timing 11:15 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. Paper III carries 150 marks and 75 questions are asked in it which too don’t have any choice. The Timing for third session paper is 2½ Hours (02:00 P.M. to 04:30 P.M.).

National Eligibility Test will be taking place at 89 test venues across the country. Candidate needs to bring one clear government identity proof along with their CBSE NET 2017 Admit Card which will be checked while entering the exam hall.
