Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET 2016) will be held on January 15, 2017. The KARTET Hall Tickets have been issued online by School Education Department, Karnataka. If you’re one of the eligible applicants then you can print out your KARTET Admit Card using the official website.
The candidates were already notified about the release of it through the SMS on their registered mobile number. The department has also placed a notification about the same on the official site.
The Exam was earlier scheduled for Dec 18, 2016, and then for 8th January, but it was postponed to 15th January in last. The admit card is now available for the eligible candidates.

What is KARTET?
The Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) is conducted by Centralised Admission Cell (CAC) since the year 2011. As per National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) guidelines, it is pivotal to qualify this test for the aspiring teachers to teach in standard 1 to 8 schools in the state.

The passing percentage (cut off) for KARTET is 60% for all other candidates while 55% for SC, ST, C1 and physically challenged candidates. There is no relaxation in the minimum required qualification to appear for this test.
There is no negative marking in this state level TET Examination. Once you clear the test, the certificate you get after qualifying the test, will be valid for next 7 years. However, you can attempt KARTET as many times as you want to improve your score, to test your knowledge or whatever you call it.
