The SSC MTS 2017 Notification was released on 31st December 2016 by Staff Selection Commission of India. The last date to fill the SSC MTS 2017 Application Form was 30th January 2017. Paper-1 of SSC MTS 2017 was scheduled on 30th April 2017. But the paper was leaked, so, SSC decided to re-conduct SSC MTS 2017 paper through online examination in the month of September-October.
As the exam is near, it is necessary to know the syllabus of the exam for an effective preparation.
SSC MTS 2017 will be conducted in two stages: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 will be an online mode of examination that will comprise of 4 sections namely Reasoning, Numerical Ability, English Language and General Awareness.
To get a fair idea about SSC MTS 2017 Syllabus, it is necessary to know the exam pattern for the same. Let’s have a look at the SSC MTS 2017 Exam Pattern:
SSC MTS 2017 Paper-1 Exam Pattern
Paper-1 is an online paper having multiple choice questions in sections: Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Aptitude and General Awareness. The entire paper is of total 100 marks and needs to be completed in a time span of 90 minutes.

Paper 2 will be a descriptive test in which candidate has to write short essay or Letter in English or any other language mentioned under the 8th Schedule of the Constitution.

Penalty for wrong answers:
0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate in Paper-1. Candidates are thus required to attempt every question carefully. There will be no negative marking in Paper-2 of SSC MTS 2017
