Penalty for wrong reply:
The initial examination is also a penalty of incorrect answers marked in both the seasonal test. For a purpose question, the wrong answer will be a quarter penalty of the total mark assigned to that question. No penalty will be left or unanswered for the question.

The final score for the IBPS Clerk exam is calculated keeping the following points in mind:
• Initial examination (step-1) will not be considered for the selected digits.
• Candidates must pass to step-2 to qualify for the final qualification.
• The total score from 100 is used for the final merit list for each category. In each category, the top merit ranks are selected at the competitor end.
