Admission Notification for JEE Mains Exam 2016 has been issued by Central Board of Secondary Education. Online JEE Main Application form 2016 starts at www.jeemain.nic.in from 1st December, 2015. Last date to register for this entrance test is 31st Dec, 2015. Exam will be held next year in April month. All interested students can apply the form using official website by last date.
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is basically common engineering courses entrance test which is conducted at national level for admission to leading engineering institutes and colleges. It used to be conducted by IITs while from the year 2012, CBSE is taking the responsibility to conduct this all India level exam. A student can appear for maximum three times in JEE Mains Examination. More than 3 attempts aren’t allowed.
In the year 2016, 4th Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2016 will be commenced on country level by the JEE Apex Board. This test will be held for admission to Undergraduate (U.G) Engineering Courses offered by NITs, IIITs. Thousands of Centrally Funded Technical Institutions also accepted the JEE Exam score card for admissions.
From this year, JEE (Main) System has been adopted by many states like Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Uttrakhand and Nagaland. So candidates who use to apply for State Level Engineer Entrance Exam, need to apply for the JEE Main 2016 Examination.

JEE Merit List: Rank List / Merit List for admission to thousands of institutions is prepared on the basis of marks secured by student in JEE Main Exam along with 12th class marks. Weight-age for JEE Exam is 40% while 60% weight-age for class 12th board exam marks. Main Exam is an eligibility test for Advanced Exam i.e qualifiers of main test head over to the advanced one.
Eligibility Criteria: Students who have passed the 12th class with at least 50% marks having Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as core subjects are eligible to apply the JEE online form and appear for the mains examination.
Age Limit: Only the date of birth mentioned in class 10th or class 12th documents will accepted.
- General and OBC category candidates: Should be born on or after : 1st October, 1991
- SC/ST/PWD candidates: Should be born on or after 1st October, 1986 (Relaxation of 5 years in age for reserved category candidates).
Application Fee: Details related to JEE Main Application Fee 2016 are disclosed now. There is different fee for girl and boys as per their category. Payment modes are online through debit card or credit card. Online generated e-challan can also be used to submit the fee at partner banks.
