SSC had cancelled the multitasking staff examination earlier. To stop the question paper leak, the exam was conducted on the new dates in the Online Mode.
The Multitasking Staff Exam took place on various dates in Sep-Oct months. Same as every year, Staff Selection Commission hosted this national level recruitment test. The timing of the exams was as shown below:
- Morning Session Timing: 10.00 A.M. to 12.00 Noon.
- Afternoon Session Timing: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Online Test in various codes were assigned for the appearing candidates. This exam took place online. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is working on making all its exams to be done online. SSC Admit Card for this all India level test were released two weeks prior to exam date.

From the year 2015, the interview has been removed from selection procedure of recruitment conducted by Staff Selection Commission. SSC MTS Paper 1 took place for 100 Marks and paper 2 for 50 marks.
The First paper is the objective type which carries questions from four subjects in M.C.Q nature. The Descriptive paper is taken for 30 minutes which requires candidates to write the essays.
